Cindy Crawford is one of the first fashion models to be considered a 'Supermodel' in the early 90s. The American beauty grew up in Illinois, graduating from high school in 1984 as valedictorian and earning a scholarship to study chemical engineering at Northwestern University. After her first quarter, though, she quit to pursue modeling full-time - a decision that has paid off in the long run.

Crawford was signed to Elite New York in 1986 and would soon grace magazine covers around the world. In 1989, she became host of MTV's House of Style and posed for the photo above around the same time. In it, she wears a Rolex Submariner in a scuba-themed shoot. She was photographed wearing Rolex watches in the early 1990s, however, in 1995 she became a brand ambassador for Omega watches. The relationship that has lasted for over 20 years, so Crawford is rarely photographed wearing any other watch brand.  

The model turned businesswoman has collaborated on several successful business ventures, including skincare and furniture lines. She has been married to businessman Rande Gerber since 1998 and the couple has two children together - 16 year old Presley and 14 year old Kaia.

Kaia is following in her mother's footsteps by entering into the modeling world. The spitting image of her mother, the pair appeared on the cover of Vogue Paris' April 2016 issue. The proud mom posted the cover shot onto her Instagram account - shown below.
